POSITION: Grant Financial Secretary
DEPARTMENT: Central Office Administration
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Federal Programs
SALARY: Unit IV Salary Schedule / 12 Month Position - Grade 6
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
- Perform a variety of accounting and auditing duties associated with restricted federal and state sponsored grants
- Conduct secretarial functions to support grant programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Preferred experience / degree in accounting, business management, or related field
- Accounting knowledge with grants processing experience preferred
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently, as well collaboratively
- Excellent communication and human relation skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Consults with supervisors to prepare and monitor grant financial budgets and documents
- Assists with grant amendments, as well as quarterly and annual grant reports, for financial compliance and accuracy
- Provides budget numbers and assists in maintaining documentation for federal and state grants
- Collaborates with supervisors and school based designees to prepare and submit invoices for payment and reimbursement
- Applies technology systems to general accounting and maintains records for audit purposes
- Performs clerical duties as assigned by the supervisors
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality in managing records and school system business
- Performs other duties as assigned
