POSITION: COMPUTER TECHNICIAN II
LOCATION: CENTRAL OFFICE
REPORTS TO: CHIEF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
SALARY: UNIT IV SALARY SCALE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer related work experience
- Must have knowledge of the installation and repairs of projection screens, projectors, wall mounted TVs
- Willing to learn about PC and Laptop repairs
- Must have knowledge of the installation and repairs of low voltage cabling
- Capacity to learn about basic network configurations
- Must be punctual, alert, courteous, and have good problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills, orally and written
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a vehicle to commute between buildings
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Delivers, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs computer hardware, software, and networking equipment, which may require the use of a ladder and ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds
- Performs tests and evaluations on new software and hardware
- Installation of projectors, smartboards, security cameras etc.
- Updates data in web based inventory and supports ticketing system
- Provides on-site technical support to staff in all ACPS operated buildings for LCD projectors, Interactive white boards and other interactive devices, PCs, and other instructional/administrative technology equipment
- May require a flexible hour work week
- Performs other duties as assigned
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Industry work experience
- Construction experience a plus
