POSITION: PROJECT Y.OUTH E.XPERIENCING S.UCCESS TECHNICIAN IV
Drop-Out Prevention Program for Middle and High School Students
SALARY: 10 MONTHS, FULL-TIME Unit IV Grade 52
LOCATION: Fort Hill District
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate of Arts degree in human services, education, counseling or related field a minimum.
- B.S., or B.A. in Education or a related field preferred
- Experience working with special populations preferred
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor student academic achievement and attendance on a regular basis
- Collect data on student achievement and attendance
- Provide basic skills remediation in reading and math
- Teach study, organization, coping, and job skills
- Arrange career and work-based activities
- Maintain regular contact with parents to reinforce student success and increase parent involvement
- Assist students in understanding relevance of school success to workplace success
- Assist students in transitioning from middle school to high school to graduation
- Collaborate with school staff in order to implement program and ensure student success
- Perform other assigned duties relative to the project as deemed necessary by persons responsible for implementation of project goals and objectives
